We had talked of Greenify in our previous post, as a method to improve battery and enable Doze Mode quickly. However, when you’re using a rooted phone, Greenify can frbttra batteriets livslngd of your device, quite dramatically. Xposed does support Pie now, but without further development in Greenify, some features may be broken. Greenify isn’t actually a root-only apps, because it can work fine in non-rooted device as well. Also, Greenify works best with Xposed Framework for most of its features. You see, Greenify is an app that hasn't been updated in a long time (last update was on October 2018), and with Pie, there isn't much sense to use Greenify anymore since Android itself has various hibernation processes built in (Doze). Greenify eliminates the use of task killing apps by putting resource consuming apps into a hibernation mode so that they are unable to access system resources. Android 7.0 Nougat improved this by removing the requirement of your phone being stationary, but the other rules are still in effect. The problem could be partially due to MIUI 10 with Pie or due to Greenify itself.
